Nelly Korda withdraws from two LPGA events with neck injury

Nelly Korda withdrew from the subsequent two tournaments on the LPGA Tour’s Asia swing after hurting her neck throughout apply, she introduced Monday.

The tour is in South Korea this week for the BMW Girls Championship, starting Thursday. Gamers will head to the Malaysian capital of Kuala Lumpur for the Maybank Championship the next week.

Followers in these nations will miss the possibility to see Korda, the No. 1-ranked participant on the earth and a six-time winner this season.

“Sadly, I’ve needed to withdraw from the LPGA occasions in Korea and Malaysia resulting from a minor neck damage I sustained whereas training,” Korda posted to social media Monday night. “I am disillusioned to overlook these occasions and am particularly sorry to my followers who have been trying ahead to seeing me play. Korda, 26, didn’t say when she plans to return to competitors. The Asia swing concludes with the TOTO Japan Basic from Oct. 31 to Nov. 3. The season ends three weeks later on the CME Group Tour Championship in her dwelling state of Florida.
