Germany’s Helen Briem clinched her first win as an expert after a play off on the Rose Girls Open held at Brocket Corridor in Hertfordshire.
The four-time LETAS champion was two pictures again on the 36-hole mark and produced a spherical of 66 (-6) with a surprising eagle on the 18th to be within the playoff alongside 2023 graduate England’s Hannah Display.
The duo headed again as much as 18 for the playoff and each made birdies on the primary and pars on the second. On the third gap, Briem made her par putt to clinch victory.
Briem mentioned: “It feels incredible to get my first win as an expert, particularly right here on the Rose Girls Open.
“Each match has its personal story and this one is mine. I’m so joyful to have one other win.
“In regulation play, I thought-about hitting a three-wood after the tee. However I drove it and had a distance I didn’t like in any respect. However I nonetheless completed with an eagle, and it was unbelievable.
Briem, who had three consecutive wins on LETAS again in June, has now confirmed her LET card for the 2025 season.
She mentioned: “It’s been a tremendous season up to now and it’s so unbelievable that I’ve achieved my purpose of getting my LET card.”
Sweden’s Isabell Ekstrom completed third on 12-under while fellow Swede Kajsa Arwefjall completed fourth on 11-under.
In her skilled debut England’s Mimi Rhodes, recent off her Curtis Cup success, completed tied fifth alongside Gabriella Cowley.
