Claressa Shields, arguably the best feminine boxer to ever compete, says she won’t be returning to combined martial arts.
“T-Rex” or “GWOAT” as she is commonly refereed to, has held a number of world boxing championships in 5 weight lessons and is the one boxer in historical past, feminine or male, to carry all 4 main world titles in boxing—WBA, WBC, IBF and WBO, in three weight lessons.
Regardless of all that, the 30-year-old Shields determined that she was going to dabble on the earth of MMA and signed with the PFL in 2021. She competed 3 times within the sport, profitable two bouts and dropping one cut up choice.
Total, Shields did properly in MMA, however on Monday she informed Ariel Helwani that she is “accomplished.”

“It was enjoyable, however I don’t have sufficient time to coach for it,” Shields stated. “It takes six to eight months simply to get able to defend takedowns. Although I bought so much higher and put within the time, I broke my arm twice. It was enjoyable, and I loved each combat I did.
“I’m already nice in boxing, and to be nice like that in MMA, I must practice constantly for a minimum of three to 4 years.
“I did very well in MMA. It was enjoyable, but it surely was too laborious.”
