Elina Svitolina has closed the curtain on her 2025 marketing campaign.
Citing the necessity to recharge mentally and emotionally and regain her aggressive identification, Svitolina says she won’t play once more this season.
“I haven’t been feeling like myself these days. I’m not in the correct emotional house, and I don’t really feel able to play, so I’m subsequently ending the season right here,” Svitolina posted on Instagram.
“Over time, I’ve realized that this sport isn’t about cash, fame, or rankings—it’s about being able to struggle and to offer your all. Proper now, I’m merely not on the degree mentally or emotionally to do this.
“Not each day needs to be productive, robust, or stuffed with vitality. Some days are heavy—and that doesn’t make me weak. It simply means I’m human and want time to relaxation, to really feel, to breathe and to simply be.”
The 31-year-old Svitolina, who fell to Anna Bondar within the US Open first spherical after bowing to Barbora Krejcikova within the Cincinnati first spherical, suffered a heart-breaking three-set loss to Jasmine Paolini in Billie Jean King Cup semifinal play final weekend. Svitolina was inside two video games of sending Ukraine into the ultimate earlier than falling to Paolini.
World No. 13 Svitolina posted a 35-14 document in 2025, together with successful the Rouen title on crimson clay final April.
