Lewis Hamilton delivers defiant message after tough Sao Paulo: “I will not give up”

Lewis Hamilton has vowed that he “won’t hand over” following a tough Sao Paulo Grand Prix.

Hamilton retired from Sunday’s race at Interlagos after sustaining important harm in two Lap 1 incidents.

The seven-time world champion was hit by Williams’ Carlos Sainz after which collided with Franco Colapinto on the start-finish straight.

The contact with Colapinto resulted in front-wing harm, which in flip affected the underfloor of his Ferrari.

Along with his automobile now not dealing with correctly, Ferrari known as Hamilton into the pits to retire from the race.

Ferrari’s horrible weekend, which has now seen them drop to fourth within the constructors’ championship, prompted a outstanding assertion from chairman John Elkann.

Elkann informed Hamilton and teammate Charles Leclerc that they need to give attention to driving, not speaking.

On Monday night, Leclerc known as for “unity” in a publish on his private Instagram account.

Hamilton took to his personal Instagram profile to reiterate his want to achieve success with Ferrari.

“Brazil. Thanks for all of the love, at all times. In the long run, it wasn’t the race we needed,” Hamilton wrote.

“It’s gutting, particularly after some good progress, however we’ll transfer on.

“I again my workforce. I again myself. I cannot hand over. Not now, not then, not ever.”

Hamilton’s tough first yr

Hamilton’s first yr at Ferrari hasn’t lived as much as expectations.

Ferrari’s 2025 F1 challenger – the SF-25 – has underperformed since hitting the observe in Bahrain testing.
