
McLaren driver Oscar Piastri has revealed that he had claimed his maiden F1 victory with a damaged rib, having been racing with a severe harm in Budapest and at Spa.
Finishing his second season on the pinnacle of motorsport, McLaren driver Oscar Piastri claimed his maiden F1 victory on the Hungarian Grand Prix.
Following the Budapest race, the Australian, who’s managed by former F1 driver Mark Webber, went on to assert third place on the subsequent spherical at Spa which turned a second spot after the disqualification of race winner George Russell.
The 23-year-old revealed earlier that he would spend the three-week summer time break withhis girlfriend who has simply graduated. The Melbourne-born driver has now shared a submit on his Instagram account, revealing that he has been nursing a severe rib harm for the reason that British Grand Prix.
Together with a collection of photos from the opening part of the season, Piastri captioned his submit: “First a part of the season carried out. First GP victory. First damaged bone. Rib’s having fun with the break.”
A picture shared by the McLaren driver shows an ultrasound scan that reveals a fracture to his sixth rib. The date on the ultrasound scan means that the investigation was carried out on the Monday following the British Grand Prix at Silverstone.
