A jury discovered Terrence Shannon Jr. not responsible of felony rape and aggravated sexual assault on Thursday.
“Terrence Shannon Jr. lastly bought his day in courtroom. We denied the allegations again in September and on that date, we pledged that at some point quickly, we might have our day in courtroom and we did. And we’re proud of the result. And, on the finish of the day, I feel the general public at-large owes Shannon Jr. an apology,” stated Mark Sutter, one among Shannon’s attorneys.
Shannon was arrested in December for the alleged incident that came about in September. Shannon was suspended by Illinois and missed six video games.
Earlier than the incident, Shannon was a projected top-25 choose within the upcoming draft.
Shannon will begin understanding for groups on Friday.
