Typically irony may be merciless, and within the case of outfielder Nick Castellanos, it wasn’t too type to him on Wednesday.
In response to a crew announcement, the San Diego Padres have designated the 34-year-old for project and have chosen the contract of infielder/outfielder Samad Taylor from Triple-A El Paso to switch him.
Castellanos had been a catastrophe of a signing for the Padres, who took an opportunity on the two-time All-Star when he was launched by the Philadelphia Phillies.
Paradoxically, Castellanos’s designation for project comes whereas the Friars play his former membership, and he had a video tribute performed for him on Tuesday in his return to Philadelphia. The previous Silver Slugger (2021) didn’t seem in Tuesday’s sport.
